Day 6 - a journey's end

Today's the day. The final few miles of our desired goals and ambitions. And today we would be conquering some of the toughest conditions that we have had to face. From start to the very bitter end we marched on climbing hill after hill, rising up and sliding down some of the steepest slopes we have had to face so far. these challenges were enhanced by the horrid weather and the state of our bodies having walked for the past 5 days.

With the rain hammering down and not letting up, we trudged across from millington and our journey ended up in the quite village of Newcastle-on-clun. having reached over 100 total miles traveled over the past week and with feet and shoes soaked through we retired from this stretch of the challenge, and the end of our extreme endeavour.
Through the mist and rain we stumbled on till we reached halfway along the trek where we found shelter form the sky's above at the entrance of a nearby church. We huckered down, had some snacks then set off again after.

We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished, overcoming our physical limitations and more importantly to us our, mental strains, and that's what this was all about really. Coming together to take on an incredible challenge and to overcome the obstacles with the support of one another, seeking help wherever we needed it and raising awareness for something so important.

So there we have it then. 6 days of great hard work. 10 Trekkers tackling a majority of one of the hardest trails across Europe. We are so greatful for the support you have all shown us. And as a matter of fact we are so close to our starting goal of £15,000 with a grand total of £14,412 raised thus far. Our overall goal would be to reach £25,000+ as that would help maintain and fund the centre as well. We kindly ask that although this segment of our journey is over, you still help support this great cause and push us over that mile. It's been fantastic to have you all onboard with us on this trip, through thick and thin.

So long for now

The Mindstep trekkers
